First Italy elects a porn starlet.

Then we elect a pro wrestler.

Now Japan elects a masked pro wrestler.

What's next?

Oh yeah, and hot LJ shirt pictures! Model is kingfox, photographer is johnstevensaul.

UPDATE: My attempt last night to test lactose intolerance went through, and I feel fine. The only mark from the hospital stay is the sore red dot I ate through. And the doctor I met at the hospital has tried to set me up to get a camera up my ass tomorrow without, I don't know, checking first with me?

Feeling: okay okay

I'm sure it was the pretty flowers and happy drewuniversity grass that warms your injured heart.

I'm not goth, I'm just wearing the old black

What's with all the black. Are you, like, a goth, or something?

Recovering goth. Every day is a new beginning, I'm taking it one step at a time.

How come you plug LJ so much? I think it's an OK place to start blogging (assuming the servers respond).

It's a black shirt. Can't go wrong with that. I also pimp Fray in the same way. The servers are great usually, if you're paid or perm. And for most people, it's not about how good or bad LJ is for blogging. It's about the community aspects.

You forgot about Sonny Bono getting elected. Ronald Reagan too.

Oh, how could I forget about those two? At least the former took it seriously. Let's not forget Eastwood.

Re: I'm not goth, I'm just wearing the old black

Yeah, funny that, I really love myself and enjoy living. If I were to kill myself, I'd have gone through with it instead of living a tortured dark shadowy life for years and being all talk. *shrug* That was poor english.

I like making it an option for people to pay or not. You get what you pay for. If you want to contribute to the community with money, support, or other works - you're an active part of it. If you want to freeload, sure, take a seat. But don't expect the best meat. Like the government in Starship Troopers. No, not the 90210 in sci-fi war movie that was based off the dust jacket of the book, the book. Citizens have certain rights and powers, but serve in the military.

Write some modules for LJ, and you'll get the fast servers.

You had to have the jacket in one.

It would have been in more, but I was supposed to be pimpin' the shirt. Not pimpin' the kingfoxness.

I would puke, but my stomach hurt too much from laughing at the cameras up your ass potential :) Seriously, good luck, problems like this are never fun. Went through it last year with a friend in the hospital.

I don't think they'll let me stream it on the web, unfortunately.

Hehehehehehe

Nice pictures... so... drew calendar-like. :-)

Look, people at Drew wear Skids!

Considering how old so many of the shots they use are, expect these to be used five to fifteen years from now.

Re: Look, people at Drew wear Skids!

Nah, we don't wear Skids. I was referring to how old the shots in the calendars are.

And I know of people in other states who import water from the NYC area in order to make real bagels. I bet you miss them, too.

Re: Look, people at Drew wear Skids!

Well, at least in the DC area, you have X and O or XANDO or whatever they call it these days.

Re: Look, people at Drew wear Skids!

Yeah, I've seen dozens of Ethiopean places down there, some good shit.

runstaverun and I just tried the Vietnamese place near him. I've had Vietnamese before, doesn't blow me away. If I'm going to do SARS-region food, I'll go for Korean or Thai.

Yup, saps like I buy them!

The quality's not that bad at all. The printing is steps above CafePress, but not amazing. The shirt itself is good material. We'll see how it holds up after a couple of washings.

Re: Yup, saps like I buy them!

That's how I test the cloth, but that's not where most shirts are lacking. I use Woolite Dark, so I can usually get by without fading as badly for some time. Most of the damage comes to the print itself, as it ends up cracked for fragmented.... or outright peeling off. That's where Cafepress shirts really suck.

The one with you leaning over the balcony railing cracks my shit up. All that serenity looks like it belongs in a laxative commercial.
kingfox From: kingfox Date: April 16th, 2003 08:59 am (UTC) (Hard link)
Yeah, it was a pretty low railing, so I couldn't really lean unless someone sawed most of my legs off. The end result is pretty silly.
runstaverun From: runstaverun Date: April 16th, 2003 03:17 pm (UTC) (Hard link)
damn... I had the same thought, and was all set to post it until I got to the last comment, when it was already pointed out... If I hadn't seen the wicker in the basket behind you I'd have thought it was a pile of poo!

(cropping could do wonders for that one)

Anyway, hope the shirt hold up! (I wonder if the next time they offer permanent accounts they will include a shirt)

kingfox From: kingfox Date: April 16th, 2003 03:46 pm (UTC) (Hard link)
That'd be a cool idea. Though they try to avoid selling permanent accounts unless they really need to. Hopefully t-shirt sales (though they claim to make little profit on them) will help them avoid having to do that for a while.

And yeah, the photographer suggested I crop that one to pieces as well.

So.... tonight's movie night? Is kikibird working until 9? And I'm taping Dawson's/South Park/Chapelle Show because tonight is the best night?
