Like a train wreck...
I am not able to look away from people's lives. As much as I know I should, when they have problems at work or feel they are going through panic attacks, my heart bleeds for them and I want nothing more than to do everything I can to make it better.

But, then again, they've made it quite clear I should stay away. So I do nothing. I've misinterpretted these cries of anguish and tried to ride in like the knight in shining armor many times in my life. It usually ends up with me slaying a dragon, being a hero for an hour, and then getting attacked for slaying the dragon. We all know people can't just be honest and tell it like it is.

And in other news, those eighteen and over should contribute to shmivejournal's latest post. I apologize to all those on my friends list who I stole to contribute to his collection. I didn't refer to any of you by name, trust me. Warning: NSFW.

Speaking of work, I really enjoy giving the fifteen minute warning. The TRC likes being told to stop whatever work they're doing in fifteen minutes.

Feeling: listless listless

I agree with you on feeling pity for some people as their lives spiral down to the ground. I feel that the lives of selcet others, however, are more accurately likened to watching an old lady fall down the stairs. Yes, it's pathetic, but you're too busy laughing to actually offer any advice until it's already too late.

Yeah.... I'm a selfless giving person in many cases, wanting to do everything I can to help those around me.... But after they've made it clear that they don't want any part of that, well, not much else I can do except take an attitude similar to the one you've outlined.

Bah

Har, I've done nothing of the sort. I've just been here for you as you have been there for me.

uh

i'm not sure exactly what you are referring to, but if it's the fact that i haven't called...sorry. i know we were supposed to talk wednesday, but what can i say? too busy being haunted by the ghost of karalee. poor excuse, so how bout the truth...i'm just notoriously bad at calling people back. you gotta hound me. so for the record, there is no subtle hint going on...just inconsideration. again, sorry.

No worries, man.

Nah, it's not referring to you. It's funny, a couple of people have come up to me assuming it was about them, it's about someone who doesn't even have a LJ, if you catch my drift. Yeah, I suck at returning calls often as well, and I certainly understand getting in a place over a ghost of an ex. Me the week after my birthday party was like that. I never assumed you were dissing me, in fact I was just lamenting last night that I didn't call you on Wednesday when I had the day off.

In short, you're cool, I love you, it wasn't about you at all.

You should, however, call maidoftheshore back. :-)

I had no idea communities like that existed on LJ before tonight. I should have known, but with sick fascination I trolled through about 4 of these communities.
kingfox From: kingfox Date: March 28th, 2003 07:29 am (UTC) (Hard link)

Which type of communities? The body part communities?
miscca From: miscca Date: March 28th, 2003 08:18 am (UTC) (Hard link)
Yes, boobs, ass, etc. I had NO idea there were THAT many. Sigh.

The problem with me is I still operate under the naive guise that pr0n is hard to find or usually inaccessible. That's clearly no longer the case. I am amazingly naive when it comes to certain things - this is one of those. Heh, life moves on :)
