On Friday windexcowboy, shmivejournal, jedimentat, and I went to Arthur's in Morris Plains for steaks. Saturday, during the day, jedimentat and I went to an awesome costume store in downtown Somerville where we purchased the finishing touches for my costume, then we had some Lebanese food nearby. Swinging by her parents' place on the way home, we made use of her mother's art supplies to paint up an old pair of pants and shirt. We headed back to Hoboken, where we got ready.
First she turned into the Green Fairy.
While looking up which ear I had to bloody, we found out that the lady of the night who he gave his ear to has the same first name as jedimentat. Funny.
She wrote up the note, I got dressed up, and I got bloody.
We got to the city, got to the party, and had a good time.
The party was fairly random, as it was hosted by someone that metallian introduced me to this past summer while back in the area. While joining his friends for dinner, drinks, and dessert in the city one night, one of them invited me to his upcoming birthday party. Unfortunately, a water main broke in Hoboken before the party, leading to a crazy day of me watching over six hours of Harry Potter movies and running around trying to find a working shower. So when we showed up for his Halloween party, I was just some guy he had seen one evening months ago. The people there were cool, the costumes clever, and the drinks tasty. After some sweet Italian treat, we broke into the absinthe, which in retrospect wasn't such a great idea as we hadn't eaten since the Lebanese and had been drinking since my apartment back in Hoboken.
mingtm joined us at the party, and headed back with us to Hoboken (where he had parked his car).
Both of us were hurting the next morning, but brunch makes everything better. Particularly with french toast, an omelette station, and some hair of the dog. Sunday consisted of gorging on a massive amount of BSG (gotta be ready for Razor) and letting our bodies recover.
