I mean it!

Nothing like losing tons of tabs, again. Switched to Firefox so it would happen less, but still it dies. I'm used to crashing during a SAN failover, but Firefox isn't touching the SAN. The open sores community cannot create something that can handle all of my tabs! I back them up every couple of days, but damn!

So yeah

It's funny how jenniever has posted to LJ more often since we started dating, while I have been posting less often. Not that we post about each other all that much, but others have noticed and I find it amusing.

It's been a fun week at work. Sunday I was enjoying fun with Sasser. That kept us busy this week. Plus the meeting with the library people, doing my self-eval, the senior goodbye lunch, a Helpdesk staff meeting, and little things here and there. The semester's ending in a rush of excitement, stress, and noise for everyone.

End of May through start of June, jenniever and I are going on a cruise together. I haven't really taken a vacation since I started my employment at drewuniversity back in January of 2000, except for taking three or four days off for MB2K the summer of that year. Both supervisors I've had during that time have been trying to urge me to take one, this opportunity came up, I'm grabbing it. Ten days gone, taking six days off from work. NYC to San Juan, Puerto Rico to Philipsburg, St. Maarten to Tortola, British Virgin Islands to Half Moon Cay and back to NYC. Sure, it's a bit of money. Sure, I should leave a larger nest egg in case my car goes tits-up sometime soon. But I'll be leaving plenty in savings and don't want to miss this opportunity. I haven't seen much of the world, I've never been on a cruise, and this sounds like a ton of fun. I can't wait.
