Hey Dorkus, sorry I missed you last night. wassailler and I were thinking to visit the_boke's lovely Sushi Lounge on Friday. Any chance on us meeting up with you?
kingfox From: kingfox Date: March 21st, 2005 09:27 pm (UTC) (Hard link)

Hmmm...

I think I have a party on Saturday (that you're also going to), and I was talking about doing AYCE again on Friday to make up for the slackers that couldn't make it. But since some of them have dropped off, maybe I can just tell them to go to the Sushi Lounge instead.

What time, and can I invite people?

"Axel" is totally not his actual first name, right? I went to CHS with him, too. Although I doubt he'd remember me.

Heh, I asked him earlier today if he remembered you...

It's his middle name, which he started going by a couple of years ago.

Re: Heh, I asked him earlier today if he remembered you...

And he said "wtf no," right? :)

Re: Heh, I asked him earlier today if he remembered you...

I asked again while giving him a ride to work this morning. windexcowboy didn't remember you without a last name.

I thought about it some more since I saw you, if you knew John, you probably knew a bunch of people that I went to grade school and middle school with and then never saw again.

Steve Uchrin?
Robert Carsey (sugarbooger)?
Joey Macaluso?
Nicole Formola?
Glenn Segal?
Timothy Arnold?
Ellen Henry?
James McFadden?

Most of the names and faces I'm coming up with are just first names, house locations, and a vague phantom of what they looked like a decade and a half ago. Like the guy Chris who lived on the other side of the school from me, the blond who lived on the other side of the temple who showed me her privates, the jock in my boy scout troop, the smart kid who lived on the other side of the GSP, the metal head who gave me my first metal magazines, the hot chick with glasses and curly hair, the girl who I always pinched in recess, and the big dumb guy who date raped some girl after she dumped me for him.

Many of them didn't even recognize me when I went back to my mother's house in Colonia after I started dating girls who could drive.

Oh, another person who did Rocky at some point, one of Jenn's friends: Jaime Ryder?

icon that looks like me, since I don't want to put my last name public on teh intarweb:

Steve Uchrin? - know the name, think he had a sister in my grade?
Robert Carsey (sugarbooger)? - know the name
Joey Macaluso? - know the name
Nicole Formola? - know the name
Glenn Segal? - nope
Timothy Arnold? - spent an afternoon talking to him in detention or sometthing, but I doubt he'd remember me. Kristin Arnold's older brother/relative?
Ellen Henry? - I LOVE Ellen. At her 18th birtday party, she bought me a pack of Marlboros, even though I didn't smoke that much yet, just because she could. At the same party, I helped dye blue or purple streaks into her hair, and Dave Hommel kept hitting on me even though he was like 20 and I was 14. (Mike used to date Katie Hommel, btw.) I still run into her every so often. The day CHS almost blew up and they let us out early (like 11am, it was a 95 degree day and the boiler almost exploded or something), we were together in one of the huge groups that headed straight down to oint pleasant. I was in her car. We both dated Tom Parkin, too.
James McFadden? - know the name
Jaime Ryder - know the name, I think. A picture would help. Or some identifying characteristic.

Re: icon that looks like me, since I don't want to put my last name public on teh intarweb:

Heh, this is great.
  • Yeah, Steve had a younger sister. He was a great guy, one of the people I most wish I had kept contact with.
  • Messed up hand, scars down one of his legs? I don't know if Tim had a sister, I don't remember. When John (LJ) and I had a falling out and were in different classes fifth or sixth grade (I can't remember), Tim and I became best friends. We played Nintendo all the time together, and were constantly running around with water guns and water balloons. He and I picked on John constantly around that time period. Later, when John and I got back together, he had gone off in his own artistic direction. I can remember, the summer before high school, having some huge beef with him, but I don't remember why now. Maybe he had stolen some books or video games of mine. That summer John and I walked around until the wee hours of the morning just about every night, stalking the streets of Colonia, relocating people's lawn furniture and ornaments a few blocks down and just talking about life. I remember wanting to throw a rock through the large window at Tim's house, but I don't think I ever did. Last I heard, back in high school, he was a skater kid working for a grocery store out in the parking lot with shopping carts, hoping to get into some art college.
  • Ellen, heh. Katie Hommel spent one church fair at my dad's church, trying to convince me to have sex with her. I turned her down, but picked up her cute friend's number... Ellen. We dated briefly, but she was a nervous virgin at the time, and we didn't stay together that long. She dumped me, telling me that I wasn't enough of an asshole. The next guy she dated was fairly horrible to her, I'll respect her privacy on that one. Needless to say, she called me up, trying to convince me to hang out with her. I remember saying, ``Newsflash: YOU dumped ME. No.'' A few days later, I found out what happened, and felt like a dick ever since. Fast forward a year or so, and she sets me up with a friend of hers who really hurts me bad. When I worked at the Roy Rogers in Avenel, she stopped by a few times, but I pretended not to know her.
  • Jaime Ryder was involved with Woodbridge Rocky back in the day. Kind of looked over Jenn, and was the person who set me up with her (in return for helping her get back together with the guy she was dating before me). Hmmm. I don't think I have any pictures of her. She had pale skin, a very childish high-pitched voice, and was constantly smiling. Black hair, often short or in a bob, and fairly short.
Man, I would kill to look at a CHS yearbook from 1996.

Re: Heh, I asked him earlier today if he remembered you...

Well, Russ. I am still around. Interestingly, I dated Ellen in 10th grade. Then hooked up with her again just last year. BTW, that girl Cheryl you dated (senior year?) got married last year.

It's a cute shot...

But I don't know if I like my facial hair experiment in it.

Won't they get scanned and demagnetized in the mail?

Maybe I'll back them up using jenniever's VCRs then send them off.
