You've come a long way, baby!

Was it all just a dream? Where have I been?

These phantoms, these twisted freaks, passing in and out of my lane in life...

The connections I tried so hard to make, yet failed so miserably at maintaining, and so easily could have, with just a bit more work...

The people who changed me forever...

The dead and departed...

The weekends that changed my perspective on things forever...

The random mindless fun weekends...

The mistakes I made...

The brushes with greatness...

The painful situations that worked out wrong...

The situations that made no sense...

The days that I wanted to forget...

The nights I wish I could recapture...

The ghosts of my past...

The friends I'll always love...

The unreal nights I had with them...

The good life...

The bartending and mixing of social groupings I love so much...

The ending of eras...

The new life...

The opportunities for bliss it brings...

The joy of life...

The beauty of this world...

The power we have over it all...

Good times!

Nicely done! This is one heck of a montage.

I always get a kick out of the MB2K pictures.

It's nowhere near as impressive or awesome as graye's montage, but thanks. It's covering a long stretch of different periods in my life. From a bright-eyed foolish young undergraduate to my present state.

The MB2K pictures are fun. I wish I was blogging back then, I'd love to read my recap of that. At the risk of sounding foolish, it really was one of the greatest weekends of my life. Despite the balls incident, despite getting barfed on, despite having our ride stolen for a night.

new slogan, new format

"wistful musings, or blurb on the back of a gay romance novel"

A few comments ....

1. I'm very glad I have Broadband. Thank you for the warning.
2. You have some adorable looking friends, they're all so damned young! Otherwise I'd have chicks out here to set them up with.
3. You have a friend who is a genuine albino! Wow.
4. Nothing.

Re: A few comments ....

  1. Having suffered through the indignities of dial-up after living on a campus for many years, I understand. I'm really happy that I was able to download Heat Vision and Jack at 500-700 KBps.
  2. That's ok, many of my friends are into MILFs. ;-) Also, we're not that young. Or maybe we are. Make sure you're looking at the pictures near the end of the montage to get a more accurate judgment of our current state.
  3. Yup. windexcowboy. Two out of the four albinos I know have the same first name. And no, it's not Windex.
  4. Nada.

Re: A few comments ....

1. :) We all have our priorities in life :)
2. HAH, not all of my friends are married :) Yannow, I am only 29 ... *cough* almost 30.
3. Ahhh. Hopefully he doesn't think I'm a major dork for even noticing that (sorry :) ).
4. Bupkis.

Re: A few comments ....

  1. That's one of my top priorities in living situations. It beats out just about everything else. If I'm not getting a decent pipe, I'm not staying there.
  2. If you're ``only 29'', then you're ``only'' two years older than me, young lady. The person who introduced us is only four and a half years older than me, remember?
  3. He keeps on talking about moving out to California, so maybe he'll show up and throttle you at some point.
  4. Nothing, by The Fugs (read the lyrics).

Re: A few comments ....

1. Agreed.
2. Physically, she might be - mentally, still a teenager. You're still a young 'un IMO :) My husband is the youngest I've dated in years :)
3. Heh, if he can find me he can throttle me :)
4. I answer your nothing, with my own - http://www.nothing.com/

Re: A few comments ....

  1. I really loved the islands. I totally fell in love with them, and would love to run an internet cafe there, if I had the startup capital. But man, the lag time playing online games against people in the states would be insane.
  2. Zing! You're lucky she's dropped me like a bad habit.
  3. He failed to comment on this entry, so I think you're safe.
  4. They leave out the Book of Void from the Book of Five Rings. I know it's not modern, but still.

It was too funny not to make it

Now if you write a romance novel about Carnal Plumber, it can go into the kingfox memorial library right next to the kingfox fanfic.

Re: It was too funny not to make it

I used to caption all of my photo galleries. But at some point, I just got lazy, and merely threw up the Dreamweaver/Fireworks generated gallery without commentary.

I love the online personal photo collection websites, that search for filenames with common camera naming schemes (like DSC00001.JPG or whatever).

Ah, I'll look at these when I'm on campus later this evening.

Whoa.

I know

There's a video a few friends of mine and I took of a party at dad's place. There's one shot from the back porch, where you can see the backyard. My Cougar's sitting next to the carriage house, four months before it got totaled. Odd nostalgia trip.

Someday I will clean out my mother's house and find the photo of the time we played Jenga on top of Jon's Yankees hat, which was on top of his head at the time.
kingfox From: kingfox Date: February 28th, 2005 09:03 pm (UTC) (Hard link)
Did you beat Jenga on his head?

Re: I know

Even stranger is the fact that the Carriage House is gone. Last time FCF and I were there - well, it just didn't look right, you know?

that was great and i've even been to some of those occasions. luckily there are no pictures of me. i should do something like this in my lj, but it would probably not end as nicely.
